Awareness might be called mindfulness. I’ve been seeing it described that way lately. When your attention focuses on the life you live from moment to moment, without distraction you experience it more acutely. We dull our senses and fail to realize how much that dulling robs us of our power by preventing us from knowing ourselves. We have so lost touch with this part of life that we feel it a waste of time to understand our feelings, to realize the connection between them and sensation and thereby know the part they play in what we do.
